A teacher at Marcus Rashford's old primary school has spoken with the BBC at the "shy" student that they remember is an inspiration ahead of England's Euro 2020 final.
Emma Roberts, head teacher at a school in Manchester, said Rashford has always been an absolute role model. She spoke with pride about the Manchester United forward who lead the free school meals campaign last year
The England striker was awarded an MBE last autumn and has also launched a book club to boost reading among disadvantaged children.

"On the pitch, he is a fantastic player and off the pitch, he is speaking up and standing up for the rights of children. It is important for the children that his face is there for them because he totally inspires them."

The book is full of stories from Marcus’s life, and packed with advice and tips from Rashford and psychologist Katie Warriner, it aims to help kids achieve their dreams using positivity and inspiration.
Rashford is expected to start on the bench in England's historic Euro 2020 final against Italy. If he comes at any point, he'll have fans from all over the country and beyond cheering him on.
