Unite union has said the resolution between the drivers and the bosses at Go North West is a 'tremendous victory'
The long-running bus drivers' strike over 'fire and rehire plans' ended after 85 days.
Over 300 drivers walked out over a pay and conditions dispute at the company Go North West.
The company runs 16 routes, mostly across north Manchester, from the Queens Road depot in Cheetham Hill
The Unite union said the company wanted to fire and rehire its drivers and force them to work longer for no additional pay, while also cutting sick pay for drivers with more than five years’ service.

Brilliant news. Well done to all the members, reps, & organisers involved. Solidarity.

Another example of how solidarity will prevail. #FireandRehire is the latest establishment invention to attack T&C's and must be resisted on every occasion. I applaud those who took a stand with the support of their union @Unite_NorthWest. Crossing picket lines achieves nothing.
