We have spoken with a number of people from across Manchester about those 'where were you' moments from history
Key moments in football, sport and television were all mentioned. The Euro 2020 final could prove to be one of those moments

1966 World Cup Final
Gary, 76 from Oldham, said: "I was at home watching on TV. We had loads of family friends at our house in Shaw. It was a truly wonderful day!"
Sandra, 72 from Middleton, said: "We had a huge street party. I'm not a big football but it was a great day. It has been amazing seeing people celebrating in the streets once again. Success in sport brings us all together like nothing else.
2012 London Olympics
One particular Saturday night during the 2012 Olympic Games sticks out as a memory for a lot of people. Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford and Jessica Ennis all won gold medals on the day that is known as 'Super Saturday'.
Sophie, 28 from Alkrington in Middleton, was at the Olympic Stadium for this: "My dad surprised me with tickets. It was one of the best days ever! I love Mo Farah!"
Ken, 59 from Chadderton, was celebrating his birthday and originally planned to watch the football: "We started off watching the football but we quickly turned that off to watch the Athletics!"
Those iconic Corrie moments
Very few dramas capture the attention quite like a big football match or sporting event but 'Corrie' has managed this on a number of occasions. After over 60 years of talking points, scandals and iconic moments, people always make an event out of this big episodes. Pamela, 62 from Newton Heath, remembers the Deirdre Barlow, Ken Barlow and Mike Baldwin love triangle was truly memorable: "I was at Old Trafford watching Manchester United play Arsenal in a League Cup match! They announced on on the tannoy that Deirdre and Ken Barlow were staying together."
Stone Roses reunion announcement
The legendary Manchester band announced they were getting back together in 2011. Within minutes of the news from being released, music fans from all over were texting and calling each other sharing the news.
Josh, 27 from North Manchester, said: "I wasn't old enough to see them the first time. So getting the chance to see one of my favourite bands live was going to be great. That announcement was greeted by loads of texts trying to arrange people buying tickets.
"It really was worth the wait!"
