Fire at Trafford General Hospital
Firefighters spent several hours tackling a fire at Trafford General Hospital on the afternoon of 28th July.
Speaking at the scene, AM Carlos Meakin said: “GMFRS crews have successfully extinguished a fire at Trafford General Hospital.
“Seven fire engines were mobilised to the incident on Moorside Road shortly after 2.20pm, where they found the roof space of a two-storey building well alight. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked exceptionally hard in arduous conditions to extinguish the flames using hose reels, a jet, and a turntable ladder.

Fraudster ordered to pay back money following huge email scam
Fraudster who pretended to be a diamond supplier, stealing almost £160,000 which he spent on Rolex watches - told he has to pay it all back - or spend more time in jail.
Babatunde Giwa was found guilty by jury of Fraud and Money Laundering offences at Manchester Crown Square Court back in May 2019, and was sentenced to four and a half years in jail.
