With the long summer holidays from school now just around the corner...
Manchester City Council has announced a bumper programme of summer fun activities for children and young people of all ages kicks off next week at venues across the city.

After a stop-start year of lockdowns and isolations, the council has worked with local partners to put together a packed programme of things to do once schools are closed - many of them will be free of charge.
The city's parks, galleries, libraries, youth and play services, as well as cultural partners and MCRactive, have pulled out all the stops to help create a fantastic Manchester summer of fun.

Councillor Garry Bridges, Executive Member for Children and Schools, Manchester City Council, has added:
"After another year of lockdowns and missing out on activities and time with their friends, it's more important than ever that our children and young people can get out and about and have fun this summer.
"We know how difficult it's been for them and for parents, so we've worked extra hard this year with partners across the city to make sure there's something for everyone. So, take a look, get out there, stay safe, and get involved!"
