Did you witness a collision in Bolton?

Officers are currently investigating a collision on Newport Street, Bolton where a man was injured.

Shortly before 1.40pm on Tuesday 31 August 2021 a bus was travelling along Newport Street towards Trinity Street when it was involved in a collision with a male pedestrian.

Four men have been sentenced to a total of 28 years in prison after an altercation which led to weapons being brandished in the street

Sabir Abdulkhadir of Rawcliffe Street, Manchester was sentenced to 14 years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to affray and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Ismail Abdullahi of Chetwood Drive, Bolton was sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to affray and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Abdul Malik Said of no fixed abode was sentenced to six years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to affray and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He was previously sentenced to three years imprisonment on 8 June 2021 after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

John Robinson of no fixed abode was previously sentenced to two years imprisonment on 11 December 2020 after pleading guilty to affray and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
